يلتزم قسم تمريض الصحة النفسية والعقلية بتوسيع المعرفة وإجراء الأبحاث في مجالات متنوعة مثل:

o     الصحة العقلية والضغوط الأكاديمية واستراتيجيات التكيف.

o      ارهاق الموظفين ورضا جميع العملاء.

o     معرفة وسلوك وممارسة كلا من الأعضاء والكادر التمريضي تجاه الأمراض المتعلقة بالصحة النفسية. 

o     التثقيف حول علم الأدوية الخاصة بالأمراض النفسية.

o     بالإضافة إلى تطوير وتحسين الحالة الصحية للمريض عن طريق جلسات العلاج النفسي والتثقيف الصحي.
