The University of Hail was established as a national scientific beacon in 1426 AH/2006 AD. With the blessing of Allah Almighty and the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah protect them, the university has witnessed a qualitative leap at the academic level and infrastructure, culminating in the adoption of its strategic plan, which aims to keep pace with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which, in turn, aims at building a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious nation. The University of Hail ensures continuous collaboration with the Ministry of Education and all relevant authorities to accomplish the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the university's vision, which is based on national leadership in disseminating knowledge and achieving excellence in research and sustainable community partnership while pursuing its mission, values, and strategic objectives.

The university continued its steadfast position in academics, scientific research, and community service by enhancing the quality of its educational outputs in consideration of labor market needs. The university has accomplished a great deal throughout its academic career (with Allah's blessing) and, with the support of our government's wise guidance, has lately been deemed competent to compete internationally. The university joined the World University Rankings Times Higher Education in 2022, attaining a worldwide ranking of 351-400 and third place locally. In addition, the university received full institutional accreditation for the following seven years.

This educational edifice is intended to graduate a generation with science, culture, patriotism, and good citizenship. This generation is equipped with science to effectively build the nation and society and compete internationally in terms of civilization, progress, peace, and prosperity. The university will continue to play a prominent role in community service, valuing the sustainability of its commitment to society. Consequently, several programs and projects focusing on cooperation and sustainability in serving our community were launched, and they will continue by adhering to quality and innovation standards.

The University of Hail strives with all of its cadres and resources to achieve its strategic goals, permanent quality, development, and continuous improvement, with an unyielding commitment to achieving its objectives in providing an administrative system based on institutional governance, developing its technology and information systems, and expanding its own resources to achieve financial independence.
