All students in M.Sc. Chemistry program must complete fourteen (14) courses (30 credit hours)
distributed through 3 semesters. The courses will cover the main domains in chemistry, namely, analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
Once students completed all the 30 credits of coursework, they can register for the Research Thesis, which will be conducted for one semester.
However, they can select and start to write the research proposal if they have completed 20 credit hours, but they can register for Research Thesis course only after completing 30 credits of coursework.
By the end of the research work, students have to submit a research thesis to the Department of Chemistry. Upon the successful oral defense of thesis, as per the evaluation of thesis committee, students will obtain a degree of Master of Science in Chemistry.
