Strategic Plan
The strategic plan of the College of Computer Science and Engineering aims to develop a comprehensive and coordinated program in line with the Kingdom's vision and implement it over the next five years to develop the College of Computer Science and Engineering and elevate it to the ranks of distinguished educational institutions locally and regionally. Through this plan, the college aims to achieve several strategic objectives. In order to identify these objectives, the strategic plan included a review of the college's vision, mission, values, and an analysis of its strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities. To achieve these objectives, the strategic plan has set a set of initiatives and implementation steps for each goal. To measure the extent to which these objectives are achieved, the plan has set a set of performance indicators for each goal and initiative. In addition, the strategic plan includes an implementation plan with a study of the risks expected during its implementation.
Aware of the university's orientation towards contributing effectively to the transformation of the Kingdom's economy into a knowledge-based economy, the college places on itself the responsibility of raising its research and educational standards to the level that will help to achieve high-quality outputs of inventions, innovations, and applications of research and development results, and graduate cadres with competitive competencies. The college also cares about supporting the process of developing its academic and research activity through the establishment of partnerships with distinguished local and international academic and economic institutions.
It is expected that this plan will contribute to the development of the educational process, improve the quality of the outputs of the research activity and raise it to a distinguished international level; and provide distinguished technological services to serve the community and the industrial sector. It is expected that these achievements will help to achieve international recognition of the college's performance and improve its ranking; outstanding contributions to the establishment of a knowledge society; achieving excellence for faculty and students according to international standards; and achieving high productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness at the level of the administrative staff and employees.
