A brief history of the college
With the inclusion of health colleges under the banner of the University of Hail, it came in 1429 AH to become the College of Nursing, including five academic departments, and grants a diploma in nursing during 3 years of study. The College of Nursing has developed rapidly through the adoption and application of the highest standards of educational quality, which is represented by the existence of advanced nursing laboratories for various specializations equipped with the latest high-tech equipment coupled with distinguished and qualified faculty members. In addition, the diploma program in the College of Nursing is designed to ensure the production of qualified and high-quality graduates who will contribute significantly to the advancement of the profession. In this context, the College of Nursing has supported the needs of the nursing staff in the region by creating graduates on par with nurses from leading universities.
One of the fruits of the unlimited support was the transformation of the diploma programs into a program that grants a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences, as its graduates were attracted to eventually become teaching assistants in the College of Nursing, and doors were opened for them to enroll in postgraduate programs inside and outside the Kingdom to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees in various nursing sciences. To complete the contract, the community partnership was strengthened with the training authorities in the Ministry of Health to provide areas for clinical training for students, where they were able to provide high-quality nursing services to patients, auditors and their families.
And as a continuation of the college’s march in developing health services in the region, the College of Nursing established a number of master’s programs in nursing in the year 1441 AH..
