A brief history of the college
Welcome to the College of Applied Medical Sciences at the University of Hail where students prepare to become outstanding healthcare practitioners in providing quality health care.
Since 2008, the College of Applied Medical Sciences has been responsible for education and research in the applied medical sciences. We seek to provide the growing health care sector in Saudi Arabia with competent and qualified healthcare practitioners and leaders. Our college was originally established in 2008-2009 under the College of Medicine and a year later received its own new designation as the College of Applied medical Sciences. The college provides education through rigorous curricula, scientific research, and community service.
Our undergraduate and graduate academic educate the fastest-growing sector of the health care workforce including clinical laboratory sciences, diagnostic radiology, physiotherapy and clinical nutrition.
Currently, the College established two postgraduate programs offering a Master Degree in clinical nutrition and diagnostic radiology started in the Fall Semester of the academic year 2020-2021. Admissions for additional undergraduate and postgraduate programs will commence in the near future to supply the professions of applied medical sciences with qualified and competent Saudi paramedical specialists.
The establishment of our college was in response to the fact the Saudi manpower in these paramedical specializations is limited, and this represents an urgent opportunity for the College of Applied Medical Sciences to graduate highly qualified and competitive specialists to fill this gap, especially in the northern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
